Mr. Bugali has work experience of 32 years in the insurance industry, out of which 21 years in managerial position. He has worked at the National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania, a composite insurer doing Life Assurance and General Insurance, Heritage Insurance Company Tanzania Ltd, NIKO Insurance (T) Ltd (now Sanlam General Insurance) and First Assurance Company Ltd.
He has demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. To cultivate competence in strategic and business planning, he consistently set goals and determined the necessary actions to achieve the desired outcomes.
He was part of the Technical Team of East African Community Financial Sector Development and Regionalization Project (EAC — FSDRP) in the sector of insurance which came up with the EAC Insurance Policy. He has also served as a Board Director of The Immaculate Heart of Mary Hospital, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Tanzania Chapter, and Assemble Insurance Company Ltd. He has also been the President for Insurance Institute of Tanzania.
Mr Bugali is a holder of a master's in business administration from Missouri State University (USA), Diploma in Insurance – Dip CII (UK), Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management (IFM – TZ), and Advanced Diploma in Insurance (IFM - TZ). He has also attended different short courses inside and outside the country.
